Hi there,

My question is: do you play play-money games? Why? Where? How much do you have? ...your thoughts here, any of them...

Me first:

I do play-money games and the poker room is FullTilt. Why Full Tilt? Because I started to play poker there, as my first poker room I registered with.
I play when I want to play poker in games I don't know well (and FullTilt doesn't offer to many different games, but Stud is good to practice, as well HORSE, maybe someday Omaha). I played to practice, to feel different poker environments, like SnS's, like MTT's, to try to learn to pick-up "tells" on random poker players.
I even play sometimes just to see my poker mood for that day.
I want to do some sort of Ferguson challenge, that means I want to make 1 million, and that twice. Why I want to make that million? To see if I can do it. Then this job will drag me thru different stakes (keep in mind, we talk play-money here) and thru, as I said, thru different poker environments (stakes, players). Why twice? To exclude variance; meaning to see if it wasn't just a mistake. I have now like 350K.

I started on Zinga,Facebook, and at first it was about being the richest amonst my facebook friends (i was rd of fouth) it was very frustrating as the are so many donks at the low stakes, one of my friends chip dumped me 500k which I turned into 10 million (gone now!), it was good poker at that level, I would go back to it to get practiced at mutitable cash gaming (grinding). but for now I just waqnt to get good at tourney play, I take your point about mood ect.. and agree, but moods are easy, lots or sleep, no beer, and my daughter must be fast asleep (another reason I like this ste the FR are later) I think play poker may be a good aid to bankroll management
